The Harper School has a new home!

Thanks to the growing enrollment of students, The Harper School has outgrown our temporary location at St. James Episcopal Church. This Summer, the Harper School will move to 113 College Ave, the former education building for the College Avenue Baptist Church.

Following a comprehensive renovation with generous support from College Avenue and Parkway Bank, the School will occupy two floors of the building above the Lenoir Soup Kitchen. We are very excited about our new partnership with College Avenue, conveniently located across the street from our eventual home in the historic LHS Band Building! This intermediate space will provide teachers with individual studios, expanded room for our growing pre-school music program and will provide the school with a strong infrastructure to grow financially and programmatically. We are grateful to St. James for the use of their facility over the past two years and their patience during our growing pains!

Summer is a great time to build on the skills students learn during the year or to begin the magical journey into music. The Harper School offers private lessons and ensembles for all instruments and all levels. A flexible private study schedule with Harper school faculty members who are specialist on their instrument will encourage students to excel as well as support their efforts in the fall with their public school programs. Register soon. Space is limited!
