HIGHLIGHTS

2007 - 2008 School Year

Move to College Avenue Baptist Church Education Building.

The Educational Foundation, Inc. of Caldwell County promotes the arts by displaying works of art and performance pieces from students in the Caldwell area. Performances are selected on the basis of musical aptitude and ability. Among this year participants were seven students from the James C. Harper School of Performing Arts. We would like to congratulate Annarae Vanosdol, Trevor Woods, Rachael Robinson, Jaquian Sloan, Daydra Kincaid and Demacy Kincaid.

The Caldwell Music Club of Lenoir provides musical scholarships to students that display a great love and dedication for musical performance. The James C. Harper School would like to congratulate Jaquan Sloan, Demacy Kincaid, Amanda Watts and Stacy Ford for their musical scholarships.

HIGHLIGHTS
2006 - 2007 School Year

481 students enrolled in private and group lessons.

57 high school students competitively selected from Caldwell and the 5 surrounding counties enrolled in the newly inaugurated Harper Youth Wind Ensemble.

200+ students enrolled in Suzuki Violin lessons in partnership with Davenport A+ Elementary school.

2 sessions of the World Drumming Curriculum offered to students at pre-selected, high-risk elementary schools plus one year-long smart block session at Davenport A+ Elementary School.

56 adults participated in the Harper Concert Band which performs publicly 5 - 6 times annually.
